Manufacturing Engineer

Location:

Valdese, NC Pay: $80,000-$85,000 Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

M Force Partners is seeking a motivated Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing operations through process improvement, automation initiatives, tooling development, and production optimization. This Manufacturing Engineer role will work closely with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to improve efficiency, reduce costs, increase throughput, and support new product introductions.

The ideal Manufacturing Engineer will have experience in a manufacturing environment, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for improving processes through engineering and automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity
  • Design, implement, and support automated and non-automated manufacturing systems
  • Develop tooling, fixtures, and process improvements to support production operations
  • Identify and resolve manufacturing issues, bottlenecks, and production delays
  • Support automation projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing teams to maximize throughput and operational efficiency
  • Assist with new product introductions and ensure products can be manufactured efficiently and cost-effectively
  • Manage process improvement projects focused on cost reduction, quality improvement, and productivity gains
  • Support maintenance teams with technical troubleshooting and equipment-related issues
  • Develop and implement ergonomic and safety improvements within manufacturing processes
  • Train production personnel on new equipment, processes, and procedures
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and manufacturing regulations
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline
  • 3–5 years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, tooling, and fixture design
  • Experience with process improvement and manufacturing optimization initiatives
  • Proficiency with Solid Works and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance
  • Ability to work overtime or off-shift hours when required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting automation and manufacturing technology projects
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment, controls, and manufacturing systems
  • Experience leading manufacturing improvement projects
  • Familiarity with production metrics, throughput analysis, and process validation
