Production Operator Compensation: $20.00 - $20.00

Loading... We are looking for an experienced 2nd shift Production Operator. The hours are Monday through Friday 1:00pm to 9:30pm. Pay will be between $21 to $23/hr candidates need to have worked in manufacturing running a machine or machines. Forklift experience would be a plus. This position is a direct hire. Company has a good benefit package.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Safely operate and monitor various food processing equipment, including mixing tanks, pumps, filling machines, and packaging machines. Set up machinery for production runs and make adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
  • Perform regular quality checks to ensure products meet company standards and specifications. Report deviations or defects and collaborate with the quality assurance team to resolve issues.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene regulations, including GMP, HACCP, and SOPs. Maintain a clean, sanitary work area to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety.
  • Work with the team to meet daily production targets and maintain workflow efficiency. Minimize downtime by identifying and addressing equipment issues or production bottlenecks.
  • Accurately record production data and batch information in logbooks and computer systems. Complete required reports and inventory forms in a timely and organized manner.
  • Assist with the movement, loading, and unloading of raw materials and finished products. Ensure proper labeling and storage of materials to prevent mix-ups and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the production team to identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiency. Contribute ideas and participate in problem-solving discussions to enhance productivity.
  • Attend regular safety training sessions and adhere to all safety protocols. Actively identify potential hazards and promptly report incidents or near misses.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or team leader.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing or a related industry is preferred but not required.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate and troubleshoot machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Ability to lift at least 55 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control practices is a plus.
  • Commitment to adhering to safety, health, and environmental regulations.
