Wilkesboro FRESH PLANT: 1st Shift General Labor PR01

Job Details:
Pay is $17.10 per hour.

The General Production Labor position provides hands‑on support to production operations by performing a variety of manual and production‑related tasks as assigned. This role supports product flow, quality, and efficiency while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies, food safety standards, and procedures in a fresh food manufacturing environment.

• Perform assigned production tasks to support processing, packaging, and material handling operations
• Assist with product handling, sorting, stacking, and staging as required
• Maintain continuous product flow to prevent downtime or congestion
• Monitor product for quality defects and report concerns promptly
• Assist line operators with setup, changeovers, and general line support
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools, and equipment
• Remove waste, scrap, and recyclable materials according to plant procedures
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and supervisor instructions
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and allergen control requirements
• Comply with OSHA regulations and Tyson safety policies
• Use required PPE and follow safe work practices
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Work directly with raw, in-process, or packaged fresh product
• Adhere to strict food safety, sanitation, and contamination prevention standards
• Wear required PPE, including gloves, aprons, hairnets, and protective footwear
• Work in temperature‑controlled environments, including cold, wet, or humid conditions.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
• Ability to work in cold, wet, or humid conditions typical of a fresh plant environment

• Must be available to work assigned shifts
• Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required based on production needs.

The General Production Labor employee is expected to maintain a safe work environment and strictly comply with Tyson policies, food safety requirements, OSHA regulations, and plant procedures.
