Patch Rubber Company is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to drive operational excellence, process optimization, and continuous improvement across our rubber manufacturing operations. This role focuses on developing work standards, conducting time studies, validating manufacturing processes, creating operator work instructions, improving equipment performance, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop and improve manufacturing processes across rubber mixing, extrusion, calendering, curing, adhesive, and converting operations
- .Develop standardized work instructions and operating procedures
- .Conduct time studies and establish/update labor standards and staffing models
- .Assist with Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S, Kaizen, SMED, value stream mapping, and waste elimination
- .Support equipment troubleshooting involving mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and PLC-controlled systems
- .Lead continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, and productivity
- .Support process validation, root cause analysis, and quality improvement efforts
- .Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, and Supply Chain teams

Experience in rubber compounding, extrusion, calendering, curing, or adhesive manufacturin - g.Lean Manufacturing certification and/or Six Sigma certificatio
- n.Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality system
- s.Experience with ERP/MRP systems and project management (preferably Acumatic

QUALIFICAT
- IONSBachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related field) OR 15+ years of progressive rubber manufacturing experie
- nce.
Ideally the candidate would have a minimum of 5 years working as a manufacturing engineer or advanced manufacturing experience, preferably in rubber, tire, polymer, or related process manufactur - ing.
Experience developing standard work, work instructions, labor standards, and time stud - ies.
Demonstrated success leading continuous improvement initiati - ves.
Working knowledge of modern CAD prog
rams
