perform other duties as tasked by administration.must be safe and observe all of tysons policies and procedures.key responsibilities the trimmer inspects each bird frame as it passes on the line, trimming to remove any defects. Places salvageable parts into tubs and puts ice into the tubs. Perform assigned production tasks to support processing, packaging, and material handling operations assist with product handling, sorting, stacking, and staging as requiredmaintain continuous product flow to prevent downtime or congestionmonitor product for quality defects and report concerns promptly assist line operators with setup, changeovers, and general line support maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools, and equipmentremove waste, scrap, and recyclable materials according to plant procedures follow standard operating procedures (sops) and supervisor instructionsfollow all food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and allergen control requirementscomply with osha regulations and tyson safety policiesuse required ppe and follow safe work practicesperform other duties as assignedfresh plant environment expectationswork directly with raw, in-process, or packaged fresh productadhere to strict food safety, sanitation, and contamination prevention standardswear required ppe, including gloves, aprons, hairnets, and protective footwearwork in temperature-controlled environments, including cold, wet, or humid conditions education and experience requirements education:high school diploma or equivalent preferred experience:prior manufacturing, production, or general labor experience preferred experience in food manufacturing or fresh plant operations a plus skills and competenciesability to follow written and verbal instructions strong attention to detail and safetyability to work in a fast-paced environmentbasic communication skillsability to work independently and as part of a team strong commitment to safety, food safety, and quality physical demands and work requirementsability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shiftability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motionsability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as requiredability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistanceability to work in cold, wet, or humid conditions typical of a fresh plant environment work schedule must be available to work assigned shiftsovertime, weekends, and holidays may be required based on production needssafety and compliance commitmentthe general production labor employee is expected to maintain a safe work environment and strictly comply with tyson policies, food safety requirements, osha regulations, and plant procedures.
