Job PurposeThe Borg Warner Arden campus offers two world class technical centers and a cutting-edge manufacturing facility that designs and produces turbos, fan, and fan drive components for the automotive industry. The Arden campus offers a multitude of career opportunities and is in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. The Production Planning Co-Op will support day-to-day planning, scheduling, and supply chain activities within a manufacturing environment.
This role provides hands-on exposure to production planning processes, material flow, inventory management, and cross-functional coordination. The co-op will work closely with production, procurement, logistics, and engineering teams to improve data accuracy, planning efficiency, and operational.
- Assist in production scheduling and planning activities (daily/weekly schedules)
- Support material planning activities including demand vs. supply analysis
- Help maintain and improve planning data accuracy (BOMs, routings, lead times)
- Analyze inventory levels, shortages, and excess material
- Support supplier performance tracking (on time delivery, lead times)
- Participate in cross-functional meetings with production, purchasing, and logistics
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to planning and supply chain
- Document processes and create standard work where applicable
- Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- MRP System experience preferred
