Goshen Engineering is seeking a hands-on Rack Assembly Supervisor to directly supervise the assigned Rack Assembly team within Production and support the safe, efficient, and quality-focused assembly of electrical equipment and integrated electrical systems. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role leads Electrical Assembly Technician I-III employees and designated Leads, coordinates daily staffing and work priorities, monitors production and quality, develops employees, and works cross-functionally to keep scheduled work moving.

What You'll Do

  • Directly supervise and coordinate the work of Electrical Assembly Technician I-III employees and designated Leads within Rack Assembly.
  • Plan and assign daily rack assembly work, staffing, and priorities based on production schedules, employee capabilities, material availability, and delivery requirements.
  • Monitor assembly work and production progress for workmanship, fit, alignment, quality, and schedule performance; identify delays, bottlenecks, or resource needs and take appropriate action or escalate as needed.
  • Ensure routine quality checks are performed and documented for assembled equipment and address issues identified during assembly.
  • Provide day-to-day direction, coaching, training, and performance feedback and support employee progression through the Electrical Assembly Technician I-III and Lead structure.
  • Coordinate with Production Management, Control Wiring, Quality, Engineering, Materials, and other functions to resolve production issues and ensure required drawings, materials, tools, and information are available to support scheduled work.
  • Address assembly, fit, alignment, tooling, material, quality, and workflow issues and escalate matters requiring additional technical or operational support.
  • Ensure assigned work areas, tools, equipment, and materials are available and organized to support scheduled production activities.
  • Support safe work practices, efficient production methods, quality improvement, and continuous learning within the assigned team.
  • Maintain required production, quality, and work records and applicable business systems.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, communication, and continuous improvement within Rack Assembly.
  • Perform hands-on assembly support or other production activities as needed to address workflow, training, quality, or schedule requirements.

What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in manufacturing, electrical assembly, industrial assembly, or a related production environment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use measuring devices, hand tools, and power tools appropriate to assigned work.
  • Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting, communication, and ability to follow approved processes and documentation requirements.
  • Ability to provide direction to employees, coordinate multiple priorities, and monitor production performance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with production, engineering, quality, materials, and other internal personnel.
  • Strong leadership and team-development capability, including direction, coaching, training, performance feedback, and accountability.
  • Ability to coordinate staffing, work assignments, priorities, materials, tools, and resources and resolve or escalate assembly, quality, material, and workflow issues.
  • Regular on-site physical presence is required; ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, bend/reach/stoop/kneel/push/pull/grasp, lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds, and safely use computers,…
