We are actively seeking a Management Support (Fabricator) to join our Kaizen Department on 1st shift (core schedule, Monday Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm)

Role:
Support production in meeting daily requirements by supporting new equipment installation and improvements to existing production processes.

Responsibilities
  • Support installation of new weld cells, press machines, laser cells, or other new production equipment.
  • Fabrication of flow racks, part stands, driver check stands, guard rails, or any other needs of production, support, and maintenance groups.
SAFETY
  • Follow all JIC safety policies and procedures to include proper use of PPE, lockout/tagout and proper use of all power tools and machine shop equipment (lathe, mill, saw, etc.)
  • Daily 5S organization of work areas. This means to tour your assigned work areas to confirm tools and materials are properly stored, no hazardous working conditions exist and general COP activities. This includes the area around where your toolbox is located.
QUALITY
  • Confirm structural integrity of fabrication items prior to installation and follow-up activity.
COST
  • Support meeting overtime and budget goals
  • Actively pursue cost reduction activities which may include material cost, vendor options, and best practices
DELIVERY
  • Support installation of new production equipment which may include but is not limited to safety fencing, cable trays, air/water/electric, etc.
  • Installation of guard rails and other items to prevent damage to building and equipment
  • Fabrication of various types of tables, stands, chutes, slides, carts, and flow racks that are required from the production, support, and/or maintenance groups
  • Repairs to baskets, flat carts, and other containers as needed
  • Provide support to other departments as needed
MANAGEMENT
  • Communication with each department about needs, project activities and schedules
  • Verify needed materials on readily available and stored properly
  • Initiate needed training and maintain skills and knowledge to complete assigned tasks
  • Support daily production needs as required which may include running production when manpower levels are detrimental to production demand
  • Maintain all needed documentation and record keeping which may include Plex, government regulations, OSHA, etc.
  • Coordinate and manage outside contractors for projects and activities that are controlled by Kaizen group.
  • Other duties as assigned

JIC associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive compensation and benefits package, including:
