2nd and 3rd shift do receive a shift premium of $1.00. We offer a $50 attendance bonus for every two weeks in which you miss no time, not including our shutdown periods. This bonus would provide an extra $0.62 to your hourly rate.
SCOPE:
Take filled orders in buggies/pin trucks or boxes/bins to correct loom locationPPE:
Ear protection required in Weave Room at all times and safety belt/harness required when using motorized equipment TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:
Filling buggy/pin truck, pallet jack, loom tickets REQUIRED PRODUCTION OUTPUT PER SHIFT:
Stay current with all outgoing orders to looms and stay current with all completed return buggies
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Safety:
Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.
Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.
2. Attendance:
Maintain personal attendance practices to meet established company goals.
3. Work Ethics:
Maintain personal work habits, which meet the demands and stresses of the job.
Meet deadlines and production quotas.
Get along with co-workers.
Follow instructions. Including shift start/stop times and breaks schedules.
Work scheduled overtime.
Duties:
Perform the following duties according to IS0 9001 work instructions and standards:
View computer monitor for loom rushes. Prioritize orders when taking them out to Weaveroom.
Label all buggies/pin trucks as specified in ISO Work Instructions.
Take filled loom orders to their designated locations.
Place buggies/pin trucks at the correct loom, in the correct position per 5S standard. Punch codes at looms to show orders have arrived as per ISO work instruction.
Make sure all empty/completed return buggies/pin trucks are taken back to the sorting area.
OTHER JOB ELEMENTS:
Stay current with taking and returning buggies from Weaveroom. Keep the work area swept and orderly.
Perform other duties when needed or assigned by Supervisor. This includes all 5S assignments.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND SKILLS NEEDED TO PERFORM JOB:
Basic reading, writing, and math skills
Must be able to discern colors and pass a color blindness test.
Must be willing and able to work six to seven days per week when scheduled.
Must have a license to operate PIT equipment. (i.e.cherry picker, etc.)
