Our manufacturing facility in Aberdeen, NC, is looking for a meticulous and reliable Shipping Clerk to support our logistics operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the precise documentation, packaging, labeling, and preparation of finished goods for transit, while ensuring our inventory and shipping logs remain precise.

Role Summary

Primary Duties

Handle the preparation and processing of outgoing orders to meet specific client and internal standards
Confirm that all product counts, part identifiers, and transit details are correct
Generate essential transit paperwork, including packing slips, shipping labels, and bills of lading
Input logistics and stock data into our digital tracking systems
Collaborate closely with our warehouse, production, and logistics partners to ensure smooth operations
Perform quality checks on packaged items to ensure they are undamaged and accurate before they leave the facility
Organize finished orders in the staging area to facilitate timely pickup and delivery
Monitor transit progress and proactively report any potential delays or errors
Assist with the intake and verification of incoming supplies when necessary
Keep precise logs of all shipping activities and inventory levels
Address and correct any inconsistencies regarding product identification, documentation, or quantities
Keep the shipping department tidy and orderly to promote a productive workspace
Uphold all internal quality and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for the entire team

Requirements

Prior background in manufacturing, warehouse operations, receiving, or shipping is highly valued
High level of precision and focus on detail
Foundational proficiency in data entry and computer usage
Capacity to interpret and execute complex shipping instructions and documentation
Working knowledge of standard shipping and inventory management practices
Familiarity with shipping software, barcode scanners, WMS, or ERP systems is advantageous
Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate clear communication with internal teams and external drivers
Excellent time-management and organizational abilities
Dependable work history and a dedicated professional approach
Ability to maintain high performance in a rapid-paced setting
Experience operating a pallet jack or forklift is considered a plus
