What you’ll do:

The primary function of the job is to perform winding, assembly, complex and repetitive wiring and copper operations to produce complete sub-assemblies and final assembly of control equipment. Check electrical / mechanical performance of completed assemblies. Pack and prepare product for  this function you will:
• Knowledgeable of the wiring operations in the LVA department. Will be required to learn three or more different work stations.
• Accurately wire units using the production schedule, BOM, wire diagrams, and schematics. Work with the team leads and supervisor to expedite steel and the bought outside planner to expedite missing bought outside items.
• Department lead in builds of all special engineering request and new product.
• Knowledge and ability to perform other LVA sub-assemblies when needed.
• Assist in the training and development of present and future associates in the LVA department.
• Works from drawings, engineering specifications, and manufacturing information to complete assembly and wiring of units. Escalate issues quickly and appropriately to team leads or supervisor.
• Determines necessary parts and material, and prepares requisition to obtain parts and material from stock.
• Prepares wire for assembly by cutting, stripping, and attaching terminals.
• Lies out, assembles, wires, adjusts, fits and modifies parts, components, and sub-assemblies to form completed assembly.
• Will require lifting, bending, ladder work and other forms of movement.
• Checks electrical / mechanical performance of completed assemblies to ensure conformance to Asheville Plant quality standards, and makes necessary adjustments and alignment when required.
• Executes engineering and customer changes and makes repairs as required.
• Reports irregularities or equipment malfunctions to team lead and/or supervisor.
• Observes all safety and hygiene rules and regulations.
• Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner. Ensure a safe work environment for self and others.
• Maintains records and other assignments as required.
• Accurately completes ship short paperwork.

• Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Excel, Internet, etc.
• Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends
