Job Description/Responsibilities
This role will assist with promoting Sazerac’s global spirits portfolio, implementing campaigns to generate buzz and earned media coverage for various brands including:
Fireball Cinnamon Whisky, Buzz Ballz, SVEDKA Vodka, Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Wheatley Vodka, Parrot Bay Rum and many more. This role will support thepublic relations and earned media planning, development and execution in support of assigned categories. The position works cross-functionally with Brand Marketing, Sales, Trade marketing, Business Intelligence, DCOE, Operations, Finance, Compliance, agencies, tradepartnersand suppliers where applicable to achieve business objectives. This role is a critical member of the team, helping to keep us organized and informed while also assisting with the execution of communications campaigns that ultimately drive earned media and raise the reputation of Sazerac and our brands globally.
- Obsessively trackcurrent events andbedeeply embedded into the cultural zeitgeist by keeping pace with the ever-changing news cycle andthinking outside the boxtoidentifyopportunities that insert our brands into relevant conversations
- Work closely with team to meet established departmental business goals
- Develop andmaintainrelationships with appropriate pressand industry contacts.
- Conduct media outreach forbrand homeswithin the Sazerac portfolio.
Respond to media requests for interviews, products, photos, etc. inatimelymatter(ideally 24 hours or less) to ensure potential opportunity is not lost. - Act as the on-site liaison for media visits,interview sand photo shoots, when appropriate.
- Help plan,coordinate and staffspecial events
- Manage multipleassignedprojectsat once: prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and share progress updates
- Build and update media lists and identifyappropriatenewtargets
- Write,editand proofread communications materials such as pitches and press releases, that will inspire media coverage
- Coordinate activities with thelargerPR team & work cross-functionally with marketing,brandand social media counterpartsto activate and execute
- Monitorforbrandnews and oversee and manage monthly PR reporting for team
- Conduct research to support media outreach and campaigns
- Participate in and actively contribute to creative brainstorms and meetings to help develop news-generating ideas
- Administrative / general office duties including:arrangeteam meetings,developagendas/recaps,coordinate schedules, etc.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3 years relevant experience
- Demonstrate the ability to work as a team as well as self-directed
- Ability to quickly learn new systems/processes
- Working knowledge of Office products (word, excel and outlook)
- Proficient with PR tools such as:
Muckrack, Meltwater, etc - Self-motivated, innovative and solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to support and manage multiple projects at one time with excellence
- Ability to work cross functionally with brand management, legal, creative and operations teams
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
- Experience with data warehousing and data lake methodology
- Proficient with graphic arts computers and software
- Willingness to travel
- Experience in alcohol beverage industry or cpg overall
- Public relations agency experience

The annual salary range for this role is $68,000 - $101,000
. Final compensation will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and internal pay equity considerations.
