Middlesex Baptist Church is seeking a Christ-centered, biblically qualified Lead Pastor to shepherd our congregation, proclaim God’s Word faithfully, and provide spiritual leadership for the ongoing ministry of our church. We are a Southern Baptist church committed to the authority of Scripture, the Great Commission, and the strengthening of believers through worship, discipleship, and outreach.

The Lead Pastor will serve as the primary preaching and teaching elder, working alongside the church leadership to advance the mission of the church and encourage a healthy culture of prayer, unity, and gospel ministry. We are looking for a man who demonstrates spiritual maturity, pastoral care, servant leadership, and a clear call to shepherd God’s people.

• Preach and teach the Bible in a clear, faithful, and engaging manner.
• Provide pastoral care through counseling, visitation, prayer, and encouragement.
• Lead the church in vision, discipleship, evangelism, and community outreach.
• Work collaboratively with church staff, deacons, and lay leaders.
• Oversee worship services, ordinances, weddings, funerals, and other pastoral duties.
• Equip and encourage members to use their gifts in ministry.
• Support the spiritual health and mission of the church body.

• A credible testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a strong, growing walk with Him.
• Alignment with the Middlesex Baptist Church By-Laws.
• Demonstrated calling and gifting for preaching, shepherding, and leadership.
• Strong communication skills and relational maturity.
• Seminary education.
• Prior pastoral or ministry leadership experience preferred.

• We are a small Southern Baptist congregation averaging 65 to 70 weekly who are committed to biblical faithfulness and gospel ministry.
