Mull’s Chapel Baptist Church is a family-oriented, Bible-believing Southern Baptist church nestled along the scenic Jacob’s Fork River. For generations, our congregation has served as a beacon of Christ’s hope, grace, and love to our surrounding community. We are a warm, grace-seeking body of believers grounded in Scripture, dedicated to spiritual growth, fellowship, and local and global missions through the Baptist State Convention.

Mull’s Chapel Baptist Church is seeking a God-called, energetic, and spiritually mature Pastor to serve as our spiritual leader and under-shepherd. The Pastor will lead the congregation in corporate worship, preach the Word of God faithfully, provide pastoral care, and equip the saints for the work of ministry. The ideal candidate will align with our doctrinal beliefs, possess a heart for pastoral visitation, and guide our church family in outreach and community engagement.

• Prepare and deliver biblically sound sermons each Sunday as well as some form of Bible study on Wednesday evenings.
• Lead or coordinate meaningful corporate worship services in cooperation with worship leadership.
• Officiate special services, including ordinances (Lord’s Supper and Baptism), weddings, and funerals.

• Provide compassionate pastoral counseling, spiritual guidance, and hospital/shut-in visitation to church members and families in need.
• Work collaboratively with deacons, church leadership teams, and committees to cast vision and oversee the administrative operations of the church.
• Mentor and encourage church members to discover and utilize their spiritual gifts.

• Oversee and foster dynamic discipleship ministries for all age groups (children, youth, adults).
• Lead the church in local evangelism efforts, engaging the surrounding community with the love of Christ.
• Represent the church within the South Mountain Baptist Association and broader denominational networks.

• Calling & Character: A clear, undeniable call to the ministry of the Gospel, meeting the biblical qualifications of an elder/pastor (1 Timothy 3:1–7, Titus 1:5–9).
• Doctrinal Alignment:
  Agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message and a firm conviction in the inerrancy and authority of the Holy Bible.
• Experience:
  
  We are open to emerging ministerial leaders as well as seasoned leaders
• Education:
  
  Degree from a Bible college or seminary preferred
• Heart for Rural/Community Ministry: A relational leader who loves deeply, connects well with multigenerational families, and demonstrates a hands‑on approach to church life.
