Job Summary
Our Nursing team member’s primary goal is to provide the most remarkable patient experience while providing professional nursing services and patient care in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. The Registered Nurse follows the nursing process, including patient assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation of care given. The RN collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team to provide physical and psychological support to patients and families while adhering to hospital and departmental policies and nursing standards and practice.
The Emergency Department RN provides care for patients with various types of illness or trauma requiring emergency attention and must be able to recognize and effectively treat life‑saving conditions.
Experience:
Recent emergency or critical care experience preferred. Two years ER experience.
License/
Certifications:
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of NC.
- Current CPR Certification.
- ACLS Certification obtained during orientation period.
- PALS Certification obtained within 3 months.
- TNCC Certification preferred.
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
Other Skills- Computer knowledge.
- Knowledge of anesthetic drugs, actions and side effects.
Comply with protocols, procedures, and policies.
Must be willing to receive all required vaccinations (i.e., flu shot, etc.).
