• Accountable for your assigned nursing unit to deliver high-quality, cost-effective health care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient/family and employee satisfaction.
• Ensure care delivery is consistent with Genesis Health Care mission, vision, values, policies, and accepted standards of practice, and complies with state and federal regulations and licensing requirements.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate nursing coverage to provide safe nursing care.
• Participate with the interdisciplinary team in developing, implementing, and evaluating ways to achieve patient goals and minimize rehospitalizations.
• Mentor and educate nurses, work with physicians and other medical professionals, and serve as a resource to all staff within the nursing unit regarding the quality of services provided.
• Oversee medication management to ensure adequate supplies and that all medications are handled in accordance with Genesis policy.
• Provide direct patient care along with the other unit nurses to maintain skills.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Associate Degree in Nursing with three (3) years of nursing experience;
  Nursing Diploma with three (3) years of nursing experience; BSN with two (2) years nursing experience.
• At least one year of nurse leadership experience.
• Current licensure by the State Board of Examiners of Nurses in the nursing center state.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
