Location: Warrenton
Sign‑On and Retention Bonus
Non‑refundable signing bonus of $3,750 will be paid in the selected applicant’s paycheck six months following employment and execution of the Employment Signing and Retention Bonus Agreement. A retention bonus of $3,750 will be paid in the next paycheck after completion of twelve full months of employment in the same position with the County following the signing bonus payment. Eligibility requires the candidate not to have worked as a probationary, permanent, or time‑limited employee in the last twelve months under the State Human Resources Act or Warren County’s Personnel Manual.
Responsibilities- Serve as charge nurse in one or more clinic settings, directing clinic work, assigning tasks to lower‑level staff, managing clinic flow, and advising staff on unfamiliar patient situations. May independently manage nurse‑screening clinics outside the health department.
- Provide community outreach by making home visits for case management, nursing activities, and independent practice outside the agency. Manage a caseload of patients/families, identify strengths and needs, develop health maintenance plans, and coordinate referrals to medical facilities and social service agencies.
- Offer School Health or Child Care Health Consultation services, working with school/child care administration to develop goals, assess children, assure care plans for chronic or recurrent health problems, teach staff to perform skilled procedures, and maintain safe medication administration policies.
- Work independently in community‑based health promotion projects: develop programs/support groups, advocate for community health, lead small teams of lower‑level nurses and sub‑professionals, and coordinate work assignments and quality of services.
- Manage program‑level support activities such as In‑Service or Quality Assurance and participate in agency‑wide planning, quality assurance, and Public Health Preparedness activities.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: extensive knowledge of nursing theory, public health principles, and related programs; ability to apply principles, coordinate resources, conduct assessments, and maintain relationships with patients and partners; strong communication, judgment, and record‑keeping skills; adequate computer skills.

Education and Experience:
graduation from an accredited professional nursing school and one year of professional nursing experience. - Special
