Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Fusion Medical Staffing—Nursing is recruiting a Travel Nurse RN PCU (Progressive Care Unit) for a 13‑week assignment in Marion, North Carolina.

Start date:

ASAP, 12‑hour night shifts, 36 hrs per week.

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data; responds to abnormalities.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac procedures.
• Maintains patients’ comfort and safety needs.
• Observes and records patient conditions; notifies supervisors or physicians of cardiac status.
• Responds to life‑saving situations following cardiac emergency protocols.
• Documents nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education on cardiac health and lifestyle.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team for comprehensive care.
• Maintains patient and client confidentiality.
• Performs other duties in scope of practice.
• Adheres to hospital safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.

• One year recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, critical‑thinking, and technical skills.
• Ability to read/write/communicate in English and use PC skills.

Preferred: Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification; NIHSS Certification; other certifications/licenses may be required.
