ECU Health Duplin Hospital is an 81‑bed facility located in Kenansville, North Carolina. The 15‑bed emergency department sees approximately 25,000 patients per year. The hospital provides general medical and surgical services, chemotherapy, and other cancer infusion interventions, and is a nationally designated Primary Stroke Center.
Position Summary- Responsible to provide care in accordance with North Carolina Board of Nursing‑Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice and other standards established by professional bodies. Nursing care will be delivered in accordance with ECU Health and entity‑specific nursing policies, procedures, and professional standards of care/practice.
- Responsible for the provision and coordination of nursing care to include the collection and analysis of assessment data, identification of expected outcomes and development of a plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family and other interdisciplinary team members. Identify interventions to attain expected outcomes, implement the interventions, evaluate progress toward outcomes, and document the process. Care includes sensitivity to age‑specific and unique needs of the patient/family.
- Promotes and evaluates the effective functioning of the health care team. Collaborates with health care team members to meet the identified needs of the patient/family throughout the episode of care. Delegates tasks and activities as appropriate and governed by the NC Nurse Practice Act.
- Diploma in Nursing, Associate‑level in Nursing or higher.
- Current North Carolina RN license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state Health Care Provider is required.
- AHA Basic Life Support is required.
- Location/Department: ECU Health Duplin (Kenansville, NC) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – 9 bed unit.
- This position is full‑time (36 hrs/week) night shift with rotating weekends and holidays.
