Job Overview

Occupational health nursing is a specialized discipline focused on delivering comprehensive health and safety programs to workers and workplace populations. The practice emphasizes promoting and restoring health, preventing illness and injury, and protecting individuals from work‑related and environmental hazards.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct medical history and physical assessments to promote health and prevent illness.
  • Provide education and guidance to team members on communicable diseases and wellness initiatives.
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and ethical practice.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure team members’ safety and recovery.
  • Respond quickly to incidents and emergencies to provide first aid and other emergency care, such as CPR, as needed.
Qualifications
  • Current unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • 1+ years of nursing experience preferred; new graduates with LPN experience and/or BSN accepted.
  • Occupational health experience not required; on‑the‑job training provided.
  • Basic computer skills and comfort with electronic medical documentation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work well with others.
  • Excellent organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
Physical Requirements
  • Walk unassisted through the plant, respond quickly to medical emergencies, climb stairs, and perform CPR if required.
  • Ensure team members and supervisors follow prescribed modified restricted duty requirements.
Travel
  • Occasional travel to local clinics or hospitals.
Schedule & Compensation
  • Monday – Friday, 12:00am–8:00am (3rd shift).
