Description of WorkThe primary purpose of this position is to provide varied, hands‑on departmental support activities through instruction, facilitation, and consultation in a manner that enhances the department's image, productivity, and overall effectiveness.
The position monitors, evaluates, and coaches as needed and is responsible for the documentation, recording, and reporting of training/learning outcomes in all areas of instruction.
It also facilitates the collaborative orientation and instruction of the Student Nurse Clinical Program at Central Regional Hospital, which serves eight nursing programs in the local area.
Responsibilities- Provide instruction, facilitation, and consultation to enhance departmental performance.
- Monitor, evaluate, and coach staff; document, record, and report training outcomes.
- Facilitate orientation and assistance for the Student Nurse Clinical Program, coordinating with community and university programs.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
- One year of experience in the area of specialization.
- Broad knowledge and application of adult learning principles and instructional methodologies.
- Ability to adapt teaching approaches to diverse audiences.
- Excellent communication skills, including presentations.
- Ability to establish productive relationships with employees at all levels.
- Must be or be able to achieve CPR Instructor credentials following hire.
- ADA physical requirements: lifting, kneeling, walking up and down stairs, and lifting 50 pounds.
- Maintain current certification in NVCI annually; CPR, CRR, and ACLS biennially.
Salary range: $62,044.00 – $. A sign‑on bonus of $10,000 may be offered to the successful applicant(s) contingent on budget approval.
This is a full‑time, exempt position. Eligible for the full State benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, NCFlex program, paid vacation, sick and community service leave, and paid parental leave.
Additional NotesThis position is exempt under the State Human Resources Act (GS 126) and is designated as mandatory, requiring the employee to stay over or report during adverse weather events.
