Regional RN

We are hiring a Regional Registered Nurse (RN) to provide workforce support to assigned centers within the region. The RN will render skilled technical nursing services to residents in an assigned unit, support the medical staff, and supervise CNAs to ensure a high quality of care.

• Premium pay $42/hr. for 60 days

• Receive report on patient/resident status from previous shift and communicate to oncoming shift.
• Make physical rounds in assigned area of oversight, assess quality of care, intervene with provision of care and interact with care givers and patients/residents.
• Provide direct care in line with the responsibilities of a nurse, assess conditions, communicate with attending physicians/practitioners and carry out nursing functions according to patient needs.
• Assist in establishing a plan of care for patients based on their unique needs and in line with physician orders.
• Be a member of the Interdisciplinary Care Team.
• Accurately document patient/resident condition, including assessments, communication and care provided.
• Directly provide or supervise other providers of care such as medication pass, nursing care, documentation, treatments and supervision.
• Evaluate performance of nurses, nursing assistants and trained medication aides; coach and discipline as needed.
• Assess and monitor to verify patient/resident needs are met and policies and procedures are followed.
• Respond and coordinate actions in emergency situations.
• Assist with Continuous Quality Improvement Program initiatives.
• Ensure safe work practices are followed.
• Provide empathetic communication to families, patients/residents regarding changes in condition and in response to care concerns, ensuring resident rights are respected.
• Be able to travel to any center within the region.
• Be available to work overtime up to double shifts.

• Current license by the State Board of Nursing as an RN.
• Ability to lead and motivate subordinates.
• Ability to perform a variety of duties with frequent change; work schedule will change on a daily basis.
• Ability to work intimately with residents, physicians, and staff.
• Preferred experience in the long‑term care setting.
• Capable of working to prescribed nursing standards.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; interest in performing a service.
