Three 12 Hour Shifts, Full-Time Night (7:00 pm - 7:00 am)

SummaryProvides direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Reports toDirector or Manager of Emergency Department
How You’ll Contribute- Deliver compassionate, high‑quality care across a variety of patient needs
- Utilize your clinical expertise to guide and implement individualized plans of care
- Serve as a patient‑care innovator, using the latest technology and best practices
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes
- Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments and other medical care activities
- Document patient care provided
- Monitor, record and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient and family
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition and ambulation
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals and psychosocial/spiritual support needs
- Evaluate patient and family learning needs and provide appropriate education based on age, culture, condition and circumstances
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient
- Participate in performance improvement and continuing education
- Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts or units as needed
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required)
- ACLS and PALS (must acquire within 90 days of start date)
- One year of RN experience
