The primary purpose of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role is to provide direct nursing care to the residents, and supervise the day‑to‑day nursing activities performed by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). The LPN must conduct medication administration, complete assessments and treatments, document services, and occasionally assist with activities of daily living. All duties must be performed in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations, and as required by the Director of Nursing Services or Nurse Supervisor to maintain the highest quality of care.

Ideal candidates have long‑term care experience, a positive attitude, bedside manner, and a love of working with people. Candidates must hold a valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in North Carolina or a compact license that permits practice in North Carolina.
