Tuesday through Friday, 7:30 am to 2:20 pmallowing you to make a difference while maintaining work-life balance.
As a dedicated professional for this one-on-one position, you'll provide essential medical care, using your expertise to ensure a safe and nurturing learning experience. The student is fully mobile and actively participates in class, adding to the engaging pace of your day.
Qualifications &
Experience:
- Current LPN or LVN licensure required
- Experience with tracheostomy care and monitoring, including suctioning and emergency replacement
- Skilled in administering G-Tube feedings and medications via feeding pump
- Comfortable with pulse oximetry, oxygen management, and routine vital sign monitoring
- Familiarity with early childhood care (especially Pre-K or pediatric settings) a plus
- Compassionate communication and a patient-centered approach
Daily Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain the students respiratory status; suction tracheostomy as needed
- Administer trach care, change ties/gauze, replace trach if blocked or dislodged
- Provide G-Tube feedings, give prescribed medications and water flushes
- During nap time, keep continuous pulse oximeter monitoring and manage oxygen as ordered
- Support with hygiene, diaper changes, and regular comfort care
- Remain vigilant about the students overall condition throughout each day
