Provides instructions to students in both theory and practice for Nursing Program. This is a split position between Maysville & Rowan campus locations. This position requires travel between campuses. Prepares lesson plans and maintains records and reports on students' attainment and progress. Maintains order and discipline. Keeps abreast of technical changes in the field and keeps the program updated. Participates in professional development activities to improve teaching skills and technical expertise.

Provides follow-up services to assist in student placement, improved courses of instruction, and promote public relations. This is not a remote position & requires in-person, on-campus presence.

The instructor will be responsible for classroom lecture, supervising students in the college laboratory and clinical areas associated with the Practical Nursing Program. Additional duties will include academic advising, committee work, internal and external service and professional development.

Experience:

Two years full time or equivalent experience as a registered nurse in the hospital setting within the immediate past five years.

Education Requirements:

Associate Degree in Nursing.

Current active, unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Kentucky.

Willingness to complete BSN within 3 years

BSN / MSN preferred
