About the Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide onsite occupational health services at a client location in Randleman, North Carolina
.

Schedule:

Tuesday and Thursday 6:00am - 8:00am (4 hours per week)

This is an ideal opportunity for an advanced practice provider seeking a highly flexible, part-time role while maintaining clinical practice and making a meaningful impact. You'll serve as a trusted clinical resource, partnering closely with employees, onsite health staff, leadership, and Work Care's medical team to support workplace health, injury management, and return-to-work initiatives.

In this role, you'll help employees safely recover from injuries, evaluate work readiness, manage occupational health concerns, and support a culture focused on health, safety, and wellbeing.

What You'll Own:
Occupational Injury & Employee Care:
  • Evaluate and treat work-related injuries and illnesses.
  • Provide first aid and medical care within occupational medicine best practices.
  • Perform return-to-work evaluations and determine appropriate work restrictions.
  • Modify restrictions and clear employees to safely resume job duties.
  • Deliver follow-up care and case management for ongoing injuries and illnesses.
Return-to-Work & Case Management:
  • Guide employees through successful return-to-work transitions.
  • Partner with supervisors and onsite health staff to ensure safe work accommodations.
  • Support Workers' Compensation processes and clinical case management efforts.
  • Assist in reducing lost work time through evidence-based clinical decision-making.
Health & Risk Reduction:
  • Educate employees on injury prevention and workplace health initiatives.
  • Counsel employees on health and risk-reduction strategies.
  • Support regulatory testing and occupational health programs as needed.
  • Contribute to a safer and healthier workplace environment.
Clinical Leadership & Client Partnership:
  • Collaborate with Work Care's Consulting Medical Director and onsite nursing team.
  • Maintain strong relationships with client management, safety teams, and employees.
  • Provide accurate documentation, reporting, and health record management.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Bring:

Required Qualifications:
  • Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in North Carolina.
  • Current unrestricted DEA registration.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Minimum of 3 years of advanced practice experience.
  • Strong clinical judgment and independent decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Occupational Medicine experience.
  • Employee Health experience.
  • Workers' Compensation case management experience.
  • Return-to-Work program experience.
  • Experience working in onsite employer clinics, urgent care, emergency medicine, family practice, or occupational health settings.
