Role:

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

• Assist in directing nursing services for the unit/hall under supervision of a Registered Nurse, delegating duties and monitoring staff performance.
• Observe patients for symptoms or reactions, including physical and mental conditions, to identify adverse changes.
• Notify physicians of emergencies and patient deaths, and implement physician orders as instructed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma and graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing, with proof of renewal every other year.
• Willingness to serve as charge nurse and work during emergencies for adequate coverage.
• Ability to deliver quality nursing care, follow doctor's orders, and demonstrate interest in geriatric nursing.
• Yearly CPR certification and participation in in-service training and staff meetings.
