The Nursing Clinical Coordinator is a part-time position supporting the mission, purpose, and goals of the College, and who will work collaboratively with the leadership, faculty, and staff across the institution to ensure the effective coordination, scheduling, and compliance of clinical education experiences for the pre-licensure nursing programs.
The Nursing Administrative Clinical Coordinator is a non-instructional staff member who will serve as a liaison between clinical instructors, program director, nursing faculty, students, and clinical sites. The Nursing Administrative Clinical Coordinator position supports the coordination and management of clinical experiences related to the pre-licensure nursing programs. Responsibilities include scheduling and coordinating clinical rotations, maintaining and monitoring student compliance and health records, and facilitating all clinical onboarding processes in accordance with institutional and agency requirements.
Examplesof Duties Essential Functions Primary responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and maintain clinical placement schedules for pre-licensure nursing programs
- Serve as primary point of contact for communication between clinical agencies, faculty, and program leadership
- Track, verify and maintain student compliance records, including immunizations, certifications, background checks, and drug screenings in the program’s designated tracking system
- Ensure all student and faculty onboarding documentation meets clinical agency and regulatory requirements prior to placement
- Facilitate and monitor clinical onboarding processes, including orientation requirements, system access, and badging
- Collaborate with program leadership to align clinical placements with course and program needs
- Assist with securing and maintaining clinical site agreements and required documentation
- Monitor clinical site capacity and assist with optimizing student placement utilization
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to clinical scheduling, compliance or site access in a timely manner
- Generate reports related to clinical placements, compliance status, and onboarding progress as requested
- Support continuous improvement of clinical coordination processes to enhance efficiency and reduce barriers to student placement
- Assist lead instructors with scheduling student clinical site placement
- Assist lead instructors with student onboarding to clinical sites
- Assures compliance with agency requirements such as immunizations, orientations, etc. for faculty and students
- Provide general administrative support to the nursing program as needed (e.g. filing, document preparation, data entry)
- Assist with preparation and organization of materials for clinical orientation
- Maintain and update clinical site contract lists
- Support communication efforts by sending reminders to students and faculty regarding deadlines and requirements
- Assist with coordination of meetings with clinical partners, including scheduling and note-taking
- Provide support during accreditation visits or program reviews by preparing requested documentation
- Assist the program director with the recruitment and interviewing of part-time/adjunct clinical faculty and recommending for employment.
- Participate in communications with the college and department and meet deadlines as
- Participate in the college's assessment process, as required
- Fulfill all contract provisions
- Maintain accurate attendance and scholastic records of students
- Maintain current knowledge of programs, trends, and new developments in area of expertise.
