Job Type: Full Time | Mid‑Shift
Sign‑On Bonus: $20,000 for Night Shift with a 2‑year commitment for eligible candidates.
Schedule: 3x12s, mid‑shift (3 p – 3 a). Holidays and weekends required.
About the RoleHaywood Regional Medical Center is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. Join our team in a dynamic 17‑bed Emergency Department (ED) with a 1:4 nurse‑to‑patient ratio. The ED sees a variety of patients, including abdominal pain and shortness of breath, with an average daily volume of approximately 74 patients.
How You’ll Contribute- Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
- Initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
- Provide care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
- Perform timely documentation related to medical necessity in the medical record.
- Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
- Perform timely and accurate QI assessments.
- Current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
- AHA Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
- AHA ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire.
- One year of experience preferred.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and ability to work in a stressful environment.
