As a Transporter
, you will safely and efficiently transport patients, specimens, and equipment throughout the hospital while ensuring compliance with safety, infection control, and patient care standards. You will support operating room and clinical operations by assisting with room turnover, equipment and supply management, and collaborating closely with surgical, anesthesia, and nursing teams to maintain seamless patient flow and departmental efficiency.
- Safely and efficiently transport patients to and from the Operating Room (OR), Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), outpatient services, and other designated areas throughout the facility.
- Transport patients via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed, including those requiring oxygen, IV pumps, monitors, and other specialized equipment.
- Assist in operating room turnover by cleaning between cases, moving equipment, and restocking supplies.
- Communicate effectively with surgical, anesthesia, nursing, and support staff to coordinate patient movement and room readiness.
- Follow strict infection control, safety, patient privacy, and hospital protocols during all transport and room turnover activities.
- Deliver specimens, equipment, and supplies to appropriate departments in a timely manner.
- Observe and report patient concerns, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards to appropriate personnel.
Weekends, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 7 AM – 7:30 PM.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous CNA experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds and operate/move equipment and supplies safely.
- Corrected vision and hearing within normal range; ability to reach overhead, sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clinical and support staff.
- Ability to remain calm, prioritize tasks, and perform effectively in fast‑paced or stressful perioperative environments.
