Medical Surgical Nurse position in Bryson City, North Carolina. This role involves providing compassionate patient care within a 17-bed critical access hospital unit. The successful candidate will support inpatient, observation, and swing bed services in a team-oriented environment, with a focus on patient populations aged 18 and older, primarily 65 and above.

• Schedule:
  
  Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  
  Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), at least 2+ years of nursing experience, Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Experience with PICC/CVC management and wound care.
• Float:
  Float rotation may be required between Swain County Hospital and Harris Regional on Medical-Surgical or equivalent nursing experience.
• Additional Information:
  This is a 17-bed unit in a critical access hospital emphasizing teamwork. The unit handles inpatient, observation, and swing bed services without performing surgeries. There is a robust presence of physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, respiratory therapy, and 24-hour provider coverage. Additionally, 24-hour imaging and laboratory services are available.
