Full Time | Mid-Shift (3x12s, 3p-3a). Holidays and weekends required. $20,000 Sign‑On Bonus for Night Shift with a 2-year commitment for eligible candidates.
Job DescriptionRegistered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department at Haywood Regional Medical Center.
Responsibilities- Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
- Initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
- Provide care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
- Perform timely and accurate documentation related to medical necessity in the medical record.
- Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
- Perform timely and accurate QI assessments.
- Current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
- AHA Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
- AHA ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
- One year of experience preferred.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
