Role:
Responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care on a 44-bed stepdown unit specializing in trauma, neurosciences, surgery, and oncology.
Responsibilities:Assess patient conditions during admission and shifts, report changes, perform procedures as ordered, document care thoroughly, administer prescribed medications, and monitor responses. Serve as an advocate for patients to ensure an exceptional experience and collaborate with medical providers to support pre- and post-operative care.
Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN program with completion within five years; current RN licensure in North Carolina; BLS certification; at least one year of nursing experience; preferred master’s degree and national certification in specialty areas. Knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in cardiac and medical-surgical care is essential.
