CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant, Nephrology Days

Join a compassionate healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant specializing in nephrology care. This full-time day shift role involves providing essential patient support, observing and reporting changes in patient conditions, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked environment to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient admissions, including orientation to unit routines and equipment.
  • Respond promptly to patient needs, offering direct assistance or communicating with the care team.
  • Support the nursing care plan by performing delegated patient care tasks.
  • Maintain patient safety through proper use of equipment and supplies.
  • Manage medication and supply retrieval for patient care.
  • Contribute to cost containment and accurate patient service charging.
  • Participate in educational programs and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Perform waived testing and maintain required skills per unit competency.
  • Demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction and efficient patient throughput.
Education and Certifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
  • Current registration with the appropriate state nursing assistant registry.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Experience and Skills
  • No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Flexibility with work tasks and schedules.
  • Understanding of age-specific patient care considerations.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work variable shifts including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Visual and auditory acuity to observe patient conditions.
  • Comfortable with exposure to blood and body fluids, following safety protocols.
