ResponsibilitiesLead a 50-bed Medical/Surgical unit by managing staffing, developing engaged teams, and enhancing patient experience. Build reliable staffing models, oversee quality and safety metrics, and implement patient-centered practices. Coach and develop Assistant Nurse Managers, manage the unit's budget, and collaborate with leadership on capacity planning and service improvements. Foster a positive environment that promotes staff retention, professional growth, and exceptional patient care.
Maintain strong relationships with interdisciplinary teams and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; graduate degree preferred.
- Two years of leadership experience and three years of clinical RN experience in acute care preferred.
- Current RN licensure and facility-specific training in restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire; board certification preferred.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards, safety protocols, staffing, budgeting, and quality improvement; strong interpersonal, decision-making, and leadership skills; ability to manage change and foster team collaboration.
Oversee staffing and scheduling, promote team engagement and retention, lead initiatives to improve patient experience, ensure safety and infection control, develop staff talent, manage budgets, and work strategically with leadership to support hospital growth. The role emphasizes providing exceptional patient care, staff mentorship, and operational excellence.
