Registered Nurse – Women's Services (Labor & Delivery)

Rutherfordton, NC | Acute Care

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Expected 36 hours/week

• Provide direct patient care across Women's Services, including Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, Antepartum, Gynecology, and Pediatrics
• Monitor and assess maternal and newborn patients using Philips fetal monitoring systems with OB Trave Vue
• Manage patient care across a unit consisting of LDR, triage, antepartum, postpartum, gynecology, and pediatric beds with acuity-based ratios
• Document accurately and efficiently using Medi Tech EHR
• Float to other areas within the unit as required
• Work every 3rd weekend as part of the standard schedule

• Active RN licensure valid in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
• Required certifications prior to start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, Pediatrics, and/or Gynecology
• Charge nurse experience required
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate

• 3 or more years of relevant clinical experience
• Prior charge nurse experience in a Women's Services or similar unit setting
• Familiarity with Medi Tech EHR

• Work in a well-rounded Women's Services unit serving maternal, newborn, adult, and pediatric populations within a 143-bed acute care facility
• Located in a charming community near Chimney Rock State Park, scenic mountain views, and Lake Lure — an ideal setting for nature-loving travel professionals
