Overview

East Penn Manufacturing is seeking a dedicated Occupational Health Nurse (RN) to join our progressive on-site Medical Center team.

This split-shift position (11:00 AM – 7:00 PM) plays a key role in supporting employee health, safety, wellness, and quality by providing clinical care, injury assessment, health education, and occupational health services within a manufacturing environment.

The Occupational Health Nurse collaborates closely with employees, physicians, supervisors, and management to promote a safe and healthy workplace, ensure compliance with occupational health regulations, and provide timely, effective care for work-related injuries and illnesses. This position is ideal for a healthcare professional who enjoys a combination of direct patient care, injury management, wellness promotion, and partnership with business leaders to support employee well-being and operational success.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the on-site Medical Center during assigned shift
  • Conduct physical assessments of injured or ill employees and determine the appropriate course of action.
  • Coordinate medical treatment and referrals with physicians and outside healthcare providers when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor employee health concerns and provide education on workplace health and wellness initiatives.
  • Remain current on OSHA regulations, DOT requirements, and applicable federal and state health standards.

    Assist in developing and updating occupational health procedures, protocols, and programs.
  • Maintain awareness of workplace conditions, environmental hazards, and job‑related health risks.
  • Communicate health, safety, and wellness concerns to management and employees as appropriate.
  • Support company initiatives focused on injury prevention, employee well‑being, and regulatory compliance.
  • Respond to workplace medical emergencies and provide first aid or emergency care as needed.
Qualifications
  • Current and valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Commitment to employee health, safety, wellness, and quality care
  • Must be able to complete training on 1st shift prior to transitioning to the assigned 3rd shift schedule
