Safety Assistant Manager

Role:

The Assistant Manager, Safety leads safety compliance initiatives, manages a team of safety professionals, and drives safety system improvements to ensure alignment with operations and innovation goals.

• Lead safety themes and complex improvement projects.
• Manage daily safety team operations, mentor staff, and foster professional development.
• Utilize safety expertise to proactively reduce hazards through PDCA cycles.
• Interpret and apply safety policies, participate in policy improvements.
• Conduct risk assessments, ergonomic studies, and safety data analysis.
• Report safety activities with detailed data insights.

• Bachelor’s in Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field; 8+ years safety experience.
• Professional safety certifications (e.g., CSP, OSH Technician).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, risk management, and business planning.

Open and manufacturing environments, with potential for overtime, varying shifts, and minimal travel.
