Job Function:

Job Summary:
Plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality control and quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards, procedures, and documentation.
- Perform root cause analysis and lead corrective and preventive actions.
- Plan, conduct, and support inspections, audits, and testing activities.
- Use statistical process control (SPC) and other analytical tools to monitor process performance.
- Conduct PFMEA, control plans, and other core quality planning activities.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and change orders for quality impact.
- Maintain detailed, accurate documentation for inspections, audits, and quality reports.
- Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
- Reviews all purchased products or components and provides input to the decision to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor.
- Documents data obtained during all quality activities consistent with company policies and procedures.
- Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
- Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.
- Maintains a working knowledge of government regulations, industry quality codes and standards.
- Support new product introduction with quality requirements and validation methods.
- Investigate customer complaints and support customer-facing quality activities.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, suppliers, and management on quality-related issues.
- Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.
- Train employees on quality standards, inspection methods, and best practices.
- Programs, operates, and interprets results from Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to verify product conformance and support root-cause investigations.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is highly desired.
- Knowledge of Auto-Cad and Solid-Works design software;
Word Processing software;
Spreadsheet software.
- ASQ-CQE highly desired.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception.
- Routinely reach with hands and arms to handle or feel.
- Frequently required to stand and walk.
- Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
