Location: Alexander Mills

The Quality Associate will be responsible for performing in-process quality checks and testing, ensuring Critical Control Points are met, and supporting internal audits and foreign material inspections.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine quality inspections and testing throughout the manufacturing facility, including raw materials, labeling, in‑process materials, and finished goods.
  • Perform post‑cleaning swabbing for verification of cleaning effectiveness and allergen proteins.
  • Conduct environmental swabbing and testing.
  • Assist with and at times perform pre‑operational inspections throughout the facility.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Wow Bao Food Safety Policies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance protocols and standard operating procedures.
  • Document findings, report deviations, and work with cross‑functional teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Participate in and perform internal audits and foreign material inspections.
  • Support the quality assurance team in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to quality assurance activities.
  • Train and mentor staff on quality control procedures, fostering a culture of quality awareness.
  • Maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality with all materials.
  • Effectively communicate to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken instructions.
  • Multi‑task calmly and effectively in a busy work environment.
  • Other duties will be assigned as needed.
Additional Requirements
  • Full‑time on‑site position. Monday - Friday, 1st Shift.
  • HACCP Certification and/or PCQI for Human Food, or ability to achieve this certification.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Proficient in using IT office machines and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
  • Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines and effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Some duties may require attention outside of normal business hours.
Physical Demands
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Ability to work in various environments, including cold environments, for extended periods.
  • Use of protective equipment such as gloves, safety glass, and ear protection.
