Title:
Bench Inspector
Job Summary:
A Bench Inspector is responsible for sorting and visually inspecting all parts for defects.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
- Follows company policies and procedures with regard to the DNI quality System as they apply to role responsibilities.
- Chooses high and low size sorting screens based on print dimensions (pull print from file as necessary to confirm dimensional requirements).
- Sorts products by using sizing screens by placing small quantities of parts and shaking to allow proper orientation within screen. Separates both accepted and rejected product into appropriate bins at inspection station.
- Visually inspects at least 3 board samples (both face and under head) under magnification to ensure no visual defects or workmanship issues are found.
- Enters inspection data into production reporting software system.
- Places rejected/scrap into proper designated scrap container.
- Be motivated, self-starting with ability, mannerism, and attitude that enables one to work closely with other team members for a common goal.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Be able to orient Components on Inspection Boards for visual inspection.
High School Diploma or equivalent. (Preferred)
Physical Requirements- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
