Lead the Testing and Test Engineering functions in the Thermal and Turbo machinery Technical Centers, ensuring performance, durability, and qualification testing on fan drives, fans, turbochargers, and related components aligns with global customer validation plans.

• Ensure a safe work environment and conduct investigations/root‑cause analysis for all safety incidents.
• Define performance metrics, lead weekly core team meetings, and drive actions to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Assign work, recommend and implement improvements in testing methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.
• Provide overtime recommendations, develop department staffing, conduct performance reviews, and support long‑term employee development.
• Execute disciplinary actions, corrective actions, and terminations in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Maintain departmental budgets and forecast for Testing and Test Engineering functional areas.
• Ensure required documentation (standard work, control plans, work instructions, etc.) is completed and available.
• Write or support writing of appropriation requests for cost reductions, continuous improvement projects, and technical center maintenance.
• Manage capital expenditure budget and forecasting; coordinate maintenance, repairs, new equipment installations, and project timelines.
• Review customer test plans to verify capability and prepare for special test requests.
• Develop relationships with manufacturing, quality, HR, IT, accounting, materials, suppliers, and other centers to drive process improvements.
• Assist in developing best‑practice testing procedures and share knowledge with Borg Warner TTT Technical Center leadership.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a high‑performance team in accordance with Borg Warner philosophy.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field (preferred).
• 8+ years of testing experience in an R&D test facility and/or leadership experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of lean manufacturing processes and procedures.
• PC competency with SAP, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Mini Tab.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with safety or quality programs (e.g., Kaizen).
• Experience building, leading, and motivating teams.
• Understanding of human resource management and development.
• Knowledge of turbochargers, fan drives, and related components and engines (preferred).
• Basic blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
• Problem‑solving skills (Pareto, Fishbone, etc.) and knowledge of IATF 16949 and/or ISO 9000 (preferred).
• Project management experience with Gantt and PERT charts.
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control and Design of Experiments.
• Travel as needed (5%–10% max).
• Attendance on the job is essential; must be able to work in a team environment and follow instructions, safety rules, and regulations.
