The Inspector I plays a critical role in ensuring product quality and compliance within our Receiving Inspection Lab and across select production lines. This role is responsible for verifying that incoming materials and in-process products meet engineering specifications and quality standards before advancing to production or inventory.

Job RequirementsInspection & Quality Assurance
- Perform incoming, in-process, and first article inspections (FAI) to verify product conformance
- Evaluate nonconforming materials and provide input on disposition decisions
- Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, comparators, etc.)
- Review documentation and verify product dimensions against engineering drawings and specifications
- Support compliance with AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements
Equipment & Systems
- Operate and maintain precision inspection equipment, including vision systems and digital optical comparators
- Assist in programming and set up of inspection equipment as needed
- Utilize ERP systems (e.g., SAP) to track inspections and maintain accurate quality records
Documentation & Data Management
- Complete quality documentation accurately, legibly, and in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Perform data entry and support reporting of quality trends and performance metrics
- Maintain organized records to ensure traceability and compliance
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with cross‑functional teams (production, engineering, quality) to ensure timely inspection and issue resolution
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to support daily operations and problem‑solving
- Contribute to a positive, team‑oriented work environment
Production Support
- Perform inspection activities on the production floor as required
- Help drive continuous improvement in quality processes and inspection efficiency

Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
What your background should look likeRequired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or quality inspection environment
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and customer specifications
- Experience performing product inspections in a manufacturing setting
- Proficiency with standard dimensional measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, comparators)
- Familiarity with advanced inspection equipment (vision systems, optical comparators, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP
- Strong attention to detail with a quality‑focused mindset
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment

- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $33,700–$50,500 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
