SummaryAbout the Role:
As a Senior Laboratory Technician, you’ll play an important part in advancing cancer research and patient care. Your work behind the scenes helps ensure that laboratory studies run smoothly, safely, and accurately—supporting discoveries that can change lives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on lab work, takes pride in organization and accuracy, and is excited to contribute to meaningful scientific research in a collaborative environment.
You’ll Do
- Analyze fluid and tissue samples using established laboratory techniques
- Prepare and maintain media, cultures, reagents, stains, and solutions
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
- Track, store, and distribute specimens for analysis
- Support different phases of scientific research projects
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and data using computer systems
- Monitor inventory and ensure lab supplies are stocked and organized
- Follow safety, quality, and compliance standards at all times
- Train and guide students, lab assistants, and junior team members
- Stay current by participating in trainings, workshops, and continuing education opportunities
- Experience working in a laboratory setting with both routine and research‑based procedures
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized
- Comfort working with laboratory equipment and data systems

Salary range: $50,067 – $63,720
QualificationsRequired Education and Experience

Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
