Store Manager, Retail & Store Manager

Dollar General, in partnership with OpenAI's innovative culture, seeks a Store Manager Candidate for our Elk Park, NC location. In this technology-forward retail role, you will lead daily operations, deliver excellent customer service, and leverage modern tools to optimize staffing, inventory, and merchandising. You'll hire, train, and coach associates, manage KPIs, and ensure compliance with safety, cash handling, and company policies.

This position offers growth into a full Store Manager role within a collaborative, data-driven, and mission-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily store operations, ensuring excellent customer service and a clean, safe environment
• Supervise, train, and schedule store associates to meet performance and service standards
• Manage inventory, merchandising, and pricing to optimize sales and minimize shrink
• Monitor store KPIs, analyze sales data, and implement improvement initiatives
• Oversee cash handling, deposits, and compliance with company policies and procedures
• Ensure adherence to loss prevention, safety, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with regional leadership on promotions, technology tools, and process improvements
• Support hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance reviews for store staff
