As a Cubbard Express Sales Clerk, you play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting sales efforts. This position goes beyond typical cashier duties, requiring a blend of strong interpersonal skills, physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming store environment.

• Cheerfully greet and assist all customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Keep coffee and cappuccino areas clean and stocked, ensuring availability of products, cups, lids, and condiments.
• Ensure coolers are fully stocked, organized, and visually appealing; bag ice as needed.
• Regularly “front” and “face” coolers and gondolas to enhance store appearance and drive sales.
• Monitor and maintain the store’s outside appearance, including sweeping, picking up debris, and emptying trash to create a welcoming first impression.
• Maintain clean and well‑stocked restrooms to encourage customer satisfaction and repeat visits.
• Keep fuel pumps clean and stocked with towels and washer fluid; ensure squeegees are available.
• Sweep and mop floors, keeping mats vacuumed to create a welcoming environment for customers.
• Stock and clean shelves, maintaining the appearance of equipment such as ATMs and ice cream merchandisers.
• Ensure cigarette shelves are adequately stocked.
• Organize and merchandise the sales counter to encourage impulse purchases.
• Facilitate quick, accurate, and friendly checkout for gasoline and grocery purchases, including verification of age for tobacco and alcohol sales.
• Work flexible schedules to meet the demands of extended hours and seven‑day operations.
• Complete other essential tasks as assigned by the Store Manager.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in retail management or a convenience store setting is preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.

Demonstrate honesty and responsibility in handling cash and monitoring inventory with minimal supervision.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to eight hours or more).
• Willingness to lift and move cases of drinks and other stock items.
