Description

of Responsibilities
  • 1. Handles cash transactions with customers using the Point-of-Sale register
  • 2. Scan prescriptions and collect payment
  • 3. Post payments to the customers A/R account
  • 4. Issue receipts, refunds, change for purchased items
  • 5. Redeem stamps and coupons
  • 6. Provide excellent customer service
  • 7. Greet customers when entering the store
  • 8. Maintain clean and tidy checkouts areas and product shelves
  • 9. Maintain reports of transactions
  • 10. Performs the duties of opening and closing the Point of Sale register
  • 11. Answer the phone with a calm, courteous, helpful voice.
  • 12. Stock shelves with merchandise
  • 13. Assist in inventory counts
  • 14. Assist in answer customers inquiries
  • 15. Perform cashier duties for the pharmacy.
  • 16. Report any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Pharmacy Manager.
  • 17. Represent the Company in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with patients and coworkers.
  • 18. Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
  • 19. Participate in the Company’s Performance Improvement Program as requested
  • 20. Pursue continuing education programs appropriate to job responsibilities.
  • 21. Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacist.
  • Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications
    • Effective interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
    • Strong communication skills in speaking and writing.
    • Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate orders.
    Physical Requirements
    • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit, as well as talk and hear.
    • The employee is required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment.
    • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
