We are more than just a Parts Store and are looking for talented individuals to join our NAPA family! As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you are the "face of the retail store" and the go-to person for customers' automotive needs. You don’t need to be able to tear down engines—though that’s a bonus—but a background and knowledge of automotive parts are essential.
This role is a great opportunity whether you want to build a career as a Parts Specialist, work full or part-time, or just get your foot in the door to explore other careers with us.
- Providing auto parts answers and solutions to retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone.
- Using your parts knowledge to assist team members in answering customer questions.
- Delivering outstanding customer care and interactions.
- Bringing customer focus and energy to our fast-paced stores.
- Welcoming retail customers and engaging with them to ensure a positive experience.
- Using technology such as computers, cash registers, telephones, and paper catalogs.
- Enjoy helping customers with auto parts and service questions.
- Have gained experience in the automotive industry or through tinkering and repairing cars and trucks.
- Are willing to learn all things automotive if you lack background.
- Want to grow your career within a team that offers opportunities for advancement.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn.
- High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade school courses are a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Love fast-paced retail environments.
- Strong listening skills and empathy for customers.
- Background or passion for automotive, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership.
- Experience in a parts store, auction, retail, or auto body/collision.
- Knowledge of cataloging and inventory management systems.
- Customer-centric attitude.
- ASE Certifications.
