Clerk

We are seeking a reliable and friendly Full Time Clerk to join our convenience store team in Fletcher, NC. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, maintain store cleanliness, and assist with daily store operations to ensure a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Greet customers, answer product questions, and provide courteous assistance.

Operate the cash register/POS system; accurately process cash, credit, debit, lottery, refunds, and other approved payments.

Verify identification and follow all applicable laws and store policies for age-restricted items, including tobacco, alcohol, or lottery products.

Stock, rotate, face, price, and organize merchandise on shelves, coolers, and displays.

Monitor product dates and remove expired, damaged, or recalled merchandise as directed.

Receive deliveries, unpack merchandise, and maintain an organized stockroom and cooler area.

Keep the store clean and safe, including counters, floors, restrooms, beverage stations, food-service areas, entrances, and outdoor areas as assigned.

Assist customers with fuel, air, car-wash, or other store services when applicable.

Maintain accurate cash-drawer balances; complete shift reports, cash counts, and deposits according to company procedures.

Report customer concerns, equipment issues, low inventory, safety hazards, and suspected theft to the manager.

Follow food-safety, sanitation, loss-prevention, security, and workplace-safety requirements.

Work cooperatively with team members and perform other duties assigned by management.

• Previous experience in retail or convenience store environment preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work a full-time schedule.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks such as stocking shelves.
